Curriculum Provision at Hetts Lane
The curriculum determines what your children will be learning and the content of what we teach.
Curriculum in the early years (FS1- Nursery and FS2 – Reception classes) in Key Stage one, the National Curriculum and the National Literacy and Numeracy strategies. These are frameworks given to and the National Literacy and Numeracy strategies. These are frameworks given to schools by government which set out the knowledge and skills that every child has a right to learn.
Working within these frameworks at Hetts Lane we have taken ownership of the curriculum, shaped it and made it unique in order to reflect the character, ethos and aims of our school.
At Hetts Lane as part of our Futures Thinking we aim to be a school in which all children:
· Enjoy learning and develop a willingness and love of learning
· Reach their own potential and fulfil their aspirations
· Have a variety of real life experiences
· Have a secure environment (emotional and physical) in which they feel valued and can develop self respect and respect for others

In order to meet this aim we are committed to providing a curriculum that:
